A Message from Michael
After serving his eight-year tenure in the state legislature, Michael Merrifield would now like to serve El Paso County as a Commissioner for County Commission District #5. Commissioner District #5 is the only commissioner district that lies entirely within the city of Colorado Springs. The District boundaries run from Dublin Blvd on the north, to Hancock Expressway and Circle on the south, and from Wahsatch Ave on the west to Academy Blvd on the east. The last Democrat was elected to the County Commission in 1972. It is time for a new voice that will bring new ideas to the county government.
Michael will bring an exceptional set of skills and experience to the job of Commissioner. As a legislator he developed an intimate knowledge of state government that will help the county. As the Chair of the Education Committee in the House, he worked with members from both sides of the political aisle to solve problems. He wants to work with the city of Colorado Springs and the other outlying communities to solve problems more cost effectively and to expand support systems for families and small businesses and protect the natural beauty of the Pikes Peak Region.
Please invest in the future of El Paso County. Support Michael Merrifield with your generous donations and sign up to work on his campaign.
Thank you, El Paso County , for all your past support. Let’s make history with Michael Merrifield again.
